We are pleased to announce the Kalamata Aerial & Acro Cup World Festival that will take place on June 20 & 21 in Kalamata, Greece. The venue for the event is the Kalamata Seaside Indoor Stadium, and the range of categories in Aerial and Floor Acrobatics is quite extensive and includes all ages, levels (beginners, advanced, and professionals), both women & men, performing solo, in pairs, and in groups.

The 'Kalamata Dance Cup' or KDC is one of the most famous and well-organized dance championships in Greece. Our International Open Dance Events attract hundreds of participants from Greece and abroad and give artists from all over the world the opportunity to promote their work and showcase their talent...beyond limits. Beginner or advanced participants of all ages can demonstrate their abilities in the 'Dance Challenge' Championships, offering rich spectacles and intense emotions to our art-loving audience.

The International Kalamata Dance Cup Production Events are multidisciplinary Festivals of Arts, Sports & Gala Events, hosted by the official  Greek 'Dance Challenge'  Organization of Kalamata. KDC produces with love and passion world-class Aerial & Acro Arts & Festivals with Showdance Performances and more activities in the beautiful seaside Kalamata, the 'City of Dance'. The festival offers an amazing experience with a wonderful 'escape' dance weekend for artists, teachers, and parents. Kalamata is the meeting place of creative people, from where new cultural worldwide results can form.

Athletes from any sports, dance, and gymnastics clubs, associations, schools, universities, municipalities, etc., from all over the world are welcome to participate in the festival, as are any athletes regardless of whether they belong to a federation or not. Participation may also be in any form: solo, in pairs, as a trio, or even in teams.

Our mission is three-fold. Firstly, we wish to provide an opportunity for new artists and athletes of all ages to highlight their work and showcase their talent. Secondly, we aim to support organizations, gyms, schools, clubs, artists, educators, and students by promoting their work and achievements. Lastly, we hope to encourage the work of teachers and to honor the efforts they make in teaching this art to children, as we proudly recognize the hard work and dedication required by all: teachers, choreographers, and parents.

KDC welcomes plenty of dancers (amateurs or professionals) & acrobats from all over the world, Renowned Adjudicators, Expert Teachers, Famous Guests of the Acrobatics Community, in a great atmosphere with stylish lighting and decoration, and accompanied by amazing music. KDC provides rewarding, positive experiences for artists-athletes, teachers, and parents alike, offering plenty of extra activities such as excursions, guided tours, art projects, exhibitions, etc.

Last year's successful event also took place at the Kalamata Seaside Indoor Stadium. This venue is the only one in Kalamata that provides maximum safety for our aerial athletes, following inspection & certification of suitability by a specialized engineer. The festival was broadcast on one of the three national Hellenic television networks (ERT 3) with the aim of promoting aerial arts in Greece, while Live Streaming of the Event reached close to 3,000 views.

Kalamata Dance Cup Festival  Event - Aerial Arts Edition, for 2026, is honored to be under the auspices of FEDEC (Fédération européenne des écoles de cirque professionnelles), co - founded by the European Union, so it is spreading worldwide with amazing partnerships, participants, and teachers from different countries. KDC, always supported by the Municipality of Kalamata,  is also honored to be endorsed by the Greek Ministry of Culture & Sports, the Ministry of Tourism and the Greek National Tourism Organization under the motto "Visit Kalamata to dance".
