The municipality of Kalamata supports the International Dance Cup in Kalamata, embraces our active Association for the benefits that offers to the city in the context of 'Thematic Tourism'.
This is the message from the important meeting of the Cultural Association of Kalamata 'Dance Challenge' with the mayor of Kalamata, Mr. Athanasios Vassilopoulos, held a few days ago in his office regarding the progress of work for the 4th International Kalamata Dance Cup.
The president of the association, Mr. Drakou – Chrysou, informed the Mayor about issues concerning the organization of the 4th Kalamata Dance Cup 2022, which will take place on October 29 & 30, 2022 in the "Tenta" SportsHall of Kalamata . He pointed out that "The festival continues to make us happy with the motto 'Visit Kalamata to dance', as the success it achieves every year justifies our goals with the growing interest of additional participating countries".
The Festival's program includes top performances of various types of dance and Dance Competitions at a sports level, as well as parallel multi-thematic actions. This year's 4th Kalamata Dance Cup Festival – Beyond Limits will once again welcome a large number of professional dancers and dance champions to our city. We are pleased that it is under the auspices and support of the Ministry of Culture & Sports, the Hellenic Tourism Organization (EOT) - Ministry of Tourism, the Municipality of Kalamata as well as the Chamber of Messinia.
We are proud that Kalamata is a City of Dance & Culture and hosts large extrovert events that have become institutions in the local community and aim at the tourism promotion and rise of our region, at highlighting our local artists, while providing culture and entertainment options to our fellow citizens of all of the ages, conveying resounding social messages.
We sincerely thank the Municipality of Kalamata and the Mayor, Mr. Vassilopoulos, for the concession of the field and his overall support for the newly brought to our city 'Kalamata Dance Cup' of DanceSport Competition, which brings together a large number of participating dancers from all parts of Greece and abroad. We also thank him for recognizing the overall contribution of our 'Kalamata Dance Challenge' Association to the local community of Kalamata.
